Our booking line is ready to answer any questions you have and your tech on the day of an Engine Clean also talks you through the full process. Here are some of the common questions we get asked here at Engine Clean from our customers.

How does it work?

Firstly we need to go into some very simple science….. so the average combustion engine only really burns at around 30% efficiency due to cheap fuel and in most cases exhaust gas being refed into the combustion chamber. This means your engine will never get a complete burn and carbon, tar and other build ups occur very early on in a vehicles life. Over time (25k+ miles) you start to notice mpg going down, flat spots occurring in the rev range and engine noise increasing. Now when your hitting 40,50,60,70,80,90k+ this effect is compounded.

Engine Clean improves the efficiency of your engine to around 70-90% whilst your vehicle is on our machine.

The effects are instant, improved throttle response you can feel, quieter engine and improved mpg normally in the range of 5 -15%.

We introduce pure hydrogen into the combustion chamber normally after the maf sensor. Hydrogen is double lighter than air so gets around the problem exhaust gases in your engine reducing efficiency. The hydrogen attaches to anything that isn’t a fuel and burns it as one in the chamber. The effects clean the internals of the engine, restoring it’s efficiency and the results are as described by all our reviewers. It really is just simple science, nothing more nothing less.

Is it like having a Remap?

No, a remap changes the each part of your cars system to run more tuned. An Engine Clean restores the internal parts of your combustion chamber and exhaust system to a younger version of itself. We increase the burn within the combustion chamber to a more complete burn which allows any build up be removed. The effects are a quieter engine, quicker on the peddle and the removal of lags.

Does it affect my insurance?

As our service simply cleans the internals of your engine (giving it a breath of fresh air) and restoring it, unlike when you have a remap, there is nothing you need to declare to insurance company.
